Welcome to BHpdf. This Privacy Policy explains how BHpdf (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) accesses, uses, processes, and protects information when you use the BHpdf Android application.
BHpdf provides PDF-related features including creating, viewing, editing, scanning, merging, splitting, protecting, and managing PDF documents, as well as adding supported media to PDF documents.
2. Information and Permissions Used by BHpdf
BHpdf may request access to device features only when required to provide functionality requested by you.
Files and Documents
BHpdf may access PDF files and other documents that you select for operations such as viewing, editing, merging, splitting, protecting, or managing PDF files. Selected documents are used to perform the operation you request.
Camera
BHpdf may request camera access when you choose the Scan to PDF functionality. Camera access is used to capture documents, receipts, notes, photographs, or other content that you intentionally choose to convert into a PDF.
Photos and Media
When you use features such as Add Media, BHpdf may allow you to select images, audio, or video from your device. Selected content is used to perform the operation requested by you.
Microphone
If BHpdf provides voice or speech-input functionality, microphone access may be requested when you actively choose to use that feature. It is used for the requested speech or audio functionality.
3. PDF and Document Processing
BHpdf may process documents for creating, viewing, scanning, editing, merging, splitting, protecting, adding supported media, and managing recently accessed documents.
Where an operation is performed locally, the relevant document remains on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
4. Advertising
BHpdf may display advertisements through Google AdMob. Advertising services may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, IP address, general device information, ad interactions, and diagnostic information, depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and advertising configuration.
5. Third-Party Services
BHpdf may use third-party services necessary to operate, maintain, monetize, analyze, or improve the App, including Google AdMob and Google Play services. Third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable terms.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell users' personal documents or personal information. Information may be processed or shared with service providers where necessary for functionality such as advertising, analytics, diagnostics, security, or other services integrated into BHpdf. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through BHpdf. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Documents processed locally by BHpdf remain under your control and may be removed using available document-management features or your device's file-management functionality. Information processed by third-party services may be retained according to those providers' respective policies.
9. Children's Privacy
BHpdf is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If BHpdf is specifically directed to children, additional requirements may apply.
10. User Choices and Permissions
You can control applicable permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding BHpdf feature from functioning—for example, disabling camera access may prevent Scan to PDF from capturing documents.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when BHpdf features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change. When the policy changes, the “Last Updated” date above will be revised.
